Tania Catacora | President
Originally from Arequipa Peru, Tania first served with this ministry in 2001, when participating as an interpreter in a medical campaign. Since 2003 she has conducted several medical missions around the country and in 2010 she assumed the position of National Director. Tania has also served with Mennonite Central Committee in Bolivia and received training in Youth With A Mission (YWAM) schools and the University of the Nations in the United States. She has traveled to several countries in Central and South America in addition to the United States and China.
Brian J. Piecuch | Founder & Vice – President
After finishing college, Brian joined the Peace Corps in Costa Rica as a volunteer to work with poor farmers. This experience reoriented the path of his life to one of serving God by working with the needy. His calling led him to live for five years in the Central African Republic with Christian Blind Mission International, where he directed a rehabilitation center for the disabled and helped launch a national program to control River Blindness. Brian came to Peru with his family in 1999, sent by Medical Ministry International (MMI), to launch its medical work there while also overseeing MMI’s field work in 23 other countries. They left Peru in 2010, praising God for the transition to new leadership in the country. Brian now resides in Holland, Michigan EEUU, where he works with both St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and Hope College in the areas of Evangelization, Stewardship and Fundraising. He also continues to support the efforts of MMI Canada. Brian and his wife of 27 years, Carmen, are the proud parents of five children, who range in age from 9 to 23, two of whom were born in Peru!
Helen Medina | Vocal
Born in Arequipa, Peru. Helen’s professional experience includes advertisement and education. She began volunteering in various medical campaigns in 2005 and has been part of the administrative staff since 2007. She currently divides her time between administrative work in the national office and her role as mother and wife.
Francis Perez de León | Supervisor
A native of the Dominican Republic, he is a servant of the Lord and a founding member of this organization; his life has been impacted by missionaries doing similar work. Francis is a husband and father of 2 children, he has lived with his family in Santa Cruz, Bolivia since the end of 2006. Bolivia has become his home and is where he developed his ministry helping the less fortunate. Francis also is a mentor of leaders in Latin America that do medical missions.
Allen Arthur George
Allen George is a missionary doctor from the United States in Peru since 2000. He worked 8 years in Apurímac with a mobile medical office. He also helped to found the Diospi Suyana Missionary Hospital in Curahuasi, Since 2010 he lives in the city of Arequipa. He’s part of the board of directors of MMI Peru. He is a missionary with the Andean Evangelical Mission with his wife Mary Beth George and has 4 children. He likes sports of any kind like athletics, volleyball, chess, swimming, etc. Attend the Abundant Life Baptist church in San José de Tiabaya.
